This mixed media piece delves into personal introspection, inspired by my experience with scoliosis. The title is a cheeky nod to the height I would be if my spine were straight (5'7) instead of my current height (5'4).

The artwork features a striking neon spine, meticulously crafted from welded smaller pieces to create the illusion of individual vertebrae. A 3D ribcage, constructed from armature wire and macrame cotton cord, adds depth and texture to the piece. The base is a dynamic painting on a wood panel, initiated by projecting an x-ray of my spine onto the surface and painting it using both my fingers and brushes.

This work not only reflects my physical journey but also serves as a playful exploration of identity and self-acceptance.
